On 15 February, 2009 the 445 th Birth Anniversary of Eminent Astronomer and the Father of Modern Science ‘Galileo Galilei' was Celebrated in Bangladesh . Earlier, Bangladesh Astronomical Society and National Science Museum had jointly organized a Sky Observation Camp at the premises of Saint Josef Higher Secondary School, Dhaka on 14 Feb evening as a part of the activities of IYA-2009 in Bangladesh.
